Sexual Violence Prevention & Response

UC San Francisco is committed to creating and maintaining a community that is free of all forms of intimidation, exploitation, violence and harassment. Sexual harassment, sexual offenses, and acts of sexual violence, including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking are strictly prohibited.

The Sexual Violence Prevention & Response team at UC San Francisco supports the University’s commitment in the following ways:

  • Proactive Education and Training – the team attempts to prevent sexual harassment and discrimination from occurring by educating and training the UC San Francisco community about unlawful discrimination and harassment
  • Consultation and Support Services – the team assists students, staff, faculty, and visitors with resolving conflict, including those involving discrimination and sexual harassment
  • Neutral Investigations – the team responds to complaints regarding discrimination, harassment and sexual violence and oversees the process for resolution and investigation of complaints

March 11, 2019
Because of a recent California appellate court ruling, the University has revised its Student Adjudication Framework to clarify when hearings are held to resolve sexual misconduct cases. The Systemwide Title IX Office and Student Affairs has developed a presentation to help educate UC community members about the changes.
